Set of three (3) original Paramount Pictures promotional B&W white photographs, February-April 1952. Size: approximately 8 x 10.
Includes a rehearsal high-wire shot. This image has been marked and striked to denote the area to appear in the Baltimore Sun newspaper in pre-digital/photoshop days.
All three photographs are in good to excellent to near Mint condition given age and (the high wire shot) striking the image.
The film, of course, is Cecil B. DeMille's THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH, which premiered at Baltimore KEITH THEATRE, where most Paramount Pictures of the period made their bow.
The Keiths Theatre had decades of vaude and film starring all of the great legends of showbiz, film, theatre and radio. For the DeMille epic, the all-wood Keiths Theatre was bathed in sawdust inside and out, with the standard Ringling circus canopy over the entrance.
Rather exciting, and I enjoyed it thoroughly as a young ladd.
SOLD 'as is'. The images here are by me.
