Trains, maintains, and works Tillers International's draft animals throughout the year

Makes hay for up to ten draft animals

Raises at least 4 acres of crops, including row crops and cereals

Leads staff, volunteers, and interns in on-farm experimentation

Coordinates with other staff for farm-related events such as Plow Day

Leads Tillers’ farming and animal power classes

Represents Tillers International at regional events including Horse Progress Days and conferences

Requirements:

Proficient in working with horses and cattle

Respectful of all people, animals, and practices

Willing to work in all weather

Self-directed and detail-oriented

Able to lift and move 50 pounds regularly (hay bales, yokes, etc.)

Compensation:

$20,000- 30,000 annual salary depending on qualifications

On-site housing included in the compensation

Employer-paid health insurance

Paid time off for vacation, sick days, and holidays
