HORSE TRAINING:

At Faith Training Center all of our training techniques focus on making the desired result the most comfortable way for the horse. Faith Training Center specializes in starting horses for a good foundation that will prepare them for any discipline. We start colts, "bomb proofs" trail horses, finish English and western horses for the show ring, work gaited horses, and much more. We encourage owners to take riding lessons and watch their horse's training to ensure success with their horse when they return home. Owners receive frequent email updates on their horse's progress or watch their horse's training. Faith Training Center's experienced trainers use gentle methods. We thoroughly prepare each horse for the next step of training, so that he can quietly accept and understand it when it is presented to him. Colts are started with lots of ground work. They learn to lead quietly, stand patiently, stop with the word, "Whoa," back willingly, lunge, carry a saddle and bridle, softly give to the bit and drive on long lines before they are mounted for the first time. Because horses do not understand English, it is our job to help the horse understand what we want from him. Through consistent, patient training, we explain what we want to the horse in a way he can understand. This creates a quiet, trusting mount that desires to please his rider. If you need colt starting or that finishing touch for the show ring, give us a call. We would love to help you accomplish your dreams!

Here is what a customer says: "Great staff and good care! I feel confident leaving my horse here, and can relax knowing that she is getting taken care of. I've had training done here as well. I myself learned a lot as well as my horse. Everyone here is eager to help and educate horse and owner. My horse and I have come a long way thanks to this great facility! :)" ~Jenny LaPorte, Indiana

Here is what our customers have to say:

Thank you, Hannah Barden. I had a really good time. I really appreciate you & your family for all you guys do our there for us to have fun. I also appreciate your encouragement, support, & teachings. I've really noticed a big impact on my relationship with Aesop. He's trusting me more & I'm trusting him more. After my previous horse died, I did not think I could find that bond & self-confidence again. Even after I bought Aesop, it took a long time for me to get close. But since moving to Faith Training Center, it's been an amazing experience for me & has rebuilt my faith & self-confidence. Thank you for helping me achieve my dreams.
~Karen Palmer, South Bend, Indiana

I've have been taking lessons at FTC for about a year now. I had very little experience and horse sense when I started. Hannah has taught me so much and continues to teach me every week. She is so patient, kind, and knowledgeable. The barn, stalls, and arenas are always clean and the staff is so friendly! I now own my own horse who is boarded here. I am confident that he is well cared for and looked after every day! I highly recommend Faith Training Center to everyone! They will definitely surpass all your expectations! ~Marcie Wentworth, Lakeville, Indiana
