Finn is a very good boy. He’s a relatively easy keeper for a thoroughbred. He’s got good feet but did have a bout of thrush in his front feet this spring. I’ve put beginner-beginner kids on him and he is very patient. He has great ground manners, is good for farrier/etc. He requires 24/7 forage or he will crib (not an issue at all for him currently since we feed round bales).
The reason I’m selling him is because he is extremely bonded to my 3 yr old gelding and we can’t go out on trails unless the 3 year old is ponied along. Apart from being very anxious when separated from his buddies, he’s a very willing boy and not spooky. He doesn’t bat an eye at kids/bikes/farm animals/equipment chaos. I’ve never had an issue riding on roads/by cars. Apart from the 2 geldings he’s housed with, we also have 2 heifers, and they get along great.
