1 Antique large French Gothic style wall lamp, came from an area academy school stone/limestone church. Church is dated at 1902.
Lamp is large and very heavy(approx. 40 lbs) and appears bronze.
It is just short of 3 feet in length. A yardstick is pictured next to it, as well as a pop can, for scale.
Non-magnetic and is hard/solid, not soft copper. I have not attempted to clean or polish it.
This is the patina present when I got it.
The people that I got it from said that they were sure that they were told years ago that it was originally a gas lamp and was converted to electric. I cannot confirm this. The wiring and fixture show to be very old, see pictures.
It may have had glass panels and a top piece of some sort in the past, but it is being sold as-pictured, as that’s how I got it.
I am pricing this as an over one-hundred year old, great looking piece that belongs mounted somewhere beautiful. It just doesn’t fit our mid-fifties style home.
$700 - cash only.
